CPC certified (1+ yrs exp) OR 2.5 yrs experience in coding. knowledge in Same day surgery, inpatient or outpatient coding is plus. Strong understanding of medical billing procedures and coding guidelines. Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT codes, and EHR systems.
3.5+ years experience in end-to-end AR calling including denial handling, appeals, and payment posting. Strong knowledge of payer follow-ups, AR aging, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot), and RCM tools required. Client communication skills are essential.
Minimum 2 years experience in prior authorization and eligibility verification. Conduct prior authorization requests for medical procedures, drugs, and services.Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits using payer portals and phone calls.Familiarity with major insurance providers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers).Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10) is a plus.
